Please include the entire text of the Log after you have a problem using copy + paste in your email. The Log is found on the lower right side of the Growbot window.
Also helpful is the dev tools console of Chrome. Screenshot or copy and paste of the entire console text. To open the dedicated Console panel, either: Press Ctrl+Shift+J (Windows / Linux) or Cmd+Opt+J (Mac).
You can find your newly installed Growbot extension within the social media website. The Growbot icon will appear in the upper corner. If it's not there, try reloading the page.
Or, click the extensions icon on the toolbar of Chrome (looks like a puzzle piece), pin Growbot to your toolbar, and then use that Growbot icon to open and close Growbot.
The price is $6.99 per month, or $69.99 per year. Click "Subscribe Now" (if your trial is still active). Just try to load the bot if your trial has ended. You will see the two options to purchase, click one of the buttons.
One great thing about using Growbot compared to other methods is that you never have to give us your password!
The bot works within IG and will appear to them as your own IP address as well. However, you must leave the instagram window open, or Growbot will stop doing it's job. If you're not currently using Growbot it is safe to close the site.
Find an account which is similar to yours or that you think their followers will want to follow your account too.
(If you're a bar, find a bar in your neighborhood that is similar. If you're a store, find a store that is similar, If you're a band, find a band that's similar, etc.)
If it seems to not unfollow anyone, please check the Log tab. Sometimes the number on your profile page can be cached on ig's servers. If Growbot says it unfollowed someone, you can go check, you will see you are not following them. The number will update soon.
If it is skipping people, uncheck "Do not unfollow people who follow me" and/or "Do not unfollow people who match my filters" as necessary.
The actual filters can be found by clicking the funnel icon at the top right of the queue.
By default Growbot won't try to follow the same people twice. If you see the "ATTEMPTED" stamp in the queue, that means Growbot already followed (or requested if their account is private) that person.
7500 would mean they are following 7500 people (this is the maximum)
1.0 would mean the number of followers and following is equal.
2.0 would mean they have twice as many followers as following
5000 would mean they have 5000 followers for every person they are following (ex, 10 million followers, 2000 following)
Instagram limits the amount of accounts which can be followed in a given time period. Their limits are not completely known and could change at any time, and can vary from account to account.
There are three main types of limits
A 429 limit is very common. The bot will automatically wait 1 minute before trying again. It can take between 1 and 15 minutes to clear, usually.
A soft limit will be hit occasionally and usually lasts about 10 minutes, after which following/unfollowing can be resumed.
A hard limit is hit less often, but lasts much longer, usually at least 12 hours, sometimes up to 48 hours. Note: if you constantly experience hard rate limit when following, please check that you are following less than 7500 people. That is the maximum they allow you to follow.
The bot can be configured to respect these limits and wait a certain amount of time before trying again. In the past, tools like Growbot were even better because Instagram allowed you to follow basically an unlimited number of people in a day. Of course if you use any automation tools, you know that's no longer the case. Your account would be temporarily blocked from following or unfollowing, after only a percent of those thousands you could follow in the past.
So a better strategy these days is to use an instagram bot like Growbot with mother accounts and child accounts. The mother account as you may have guessed is your main instagram account. You post your highest quality content here, and do high quality engagement (not-automated or lightly-automated) with your followers or other accounts. Of course non-automated is always safest.
Then, create multiple other accounts of the same theme. Post similar content as the mother account, but avoid making it exactly the same as the mother. All these accounts should have the mother account linked in their bio. They can be more heavily automated. You can go through your daily ration of follows, if that child account is blocked, go on to use another child account. Some of the posts can link the @mother account in the post description. You can DM people who follow the child account back, saying to follow the mother account.
The more child accounts the better, all of them funneling traffic back to the mother. This should avoid detection by instagram's algorithm updates.
Using Growbot to implement the mother-child instagram growth strategy is a very viable and effective strategy in 2023.
Make sure your computer is not going to go to sleep while it's running
Either keep the site window that Growbot is running in frontmost and active, or try to disable discarding of tabs.

By default Growbot won't unfollow people that Growbot didn't follow just because most people want to keep their original following. You can disable this by clicking the Settings cog icon, and unchecking "Don't unfollow people followed outside of Growbot" under "Configure Unfollowing Options."
